Bangladesh pacer Taskin Ahmed is set to return from the second fixture of the Bangladesh Cricket League One-Day Version after missing the opener, the right-arm pacer confirmed to the Daily Sun on Saturday.
After recovering from a recent illness, the pacer discussed increasing his bowling workload.
“I have been playing T20 cricket for a while, but I was a bit sick recently,” Taskin said. “I am currently increasing my bowling workload. If everything goes well, I will be available from the second match, Insha’Allah.”
Initially rested from the tournament, the 30-year-old will nevertheless remain with the squad during the opening encounter.
“I will stay and train with the team,” he added. “But, Insha’Allah, I will be available from the second match.”
However, Taskin didn’t play the Odommo T20 Cup as part of the rest and recovery.
